【摘要】:Itisdifficulttoestablishaprecisecorrelationbetweenlaboratoryacceleratedandnaturalweatheringbecauseof(1)geographicalclimaticvariations,localweathervariationfromnormal,andlocalpollutantsand(2)thefactthattheaccelerationfactorismaterialdependent,varyingwiththetypeofmaterialaswellasitsformulation.Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminetheresistanceofasealanttolaboratoryacceleratedweatheringand,ifacontrolmaterialwithknownoutdoorweatheringperformanceisused,therelativeweatheringperformanceofthesealantagainstthatofthecontrolmaterial.Thistestmethodisconductedusingaluminumchannels.Othersubstratematerialsmayshowdifferentresults.1.1Thistestmethodincludestwolaboratoryacceleratedexposureproceduresforpredictingtheeffectsofultravioletorultraviolet/visibleradiation,heat,andmoistureoncolor,chalking,cracking,andadhesionofsolvent-releasesealants.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.3Thecommitteewithjurisdictionoverthisstandardisnotawareofanycomparablestandardspublishedbyotherorganizations.
